Non-profit needs your help! Needs SPONSORS

A-List For A Change Non-Profit/Pro-Change Organization

http://www.myspace.com/alistforachange

Focusing more on my “A-List For A CHANGE” Non-Profit Organization! This past week around 4 teens emailed me w their problems…screaming for help! WE need to make a change; we need to stand up for those who cant stand; we need to help & inspire our YOUTH and help empower their parents (especially single parents.) WE MOST IMPORTANTLY need to keep our kids off the streets where the only influences they get can ruin their lives!

IM ONLY ONE WOMAN & I, too am a single parent. As much as I would LOVE to be able to do everything on my own, I struggle too…I have kids too. And TRUST ME…Im far from rich! While most ppl have a spouse or significant other to help them with their bills and more, I have NO ONE…not even a grandma to babysit! So with this being said, Im asking everyone to help me make a difference.

Everyone who knows me personally or who has been following my career online KNOWS that I am genuine and sincere about helping the youth and PEOPLE IN GENERAL. Everyone who knows me personally knows that Im not flashy, dont drive in expensive cars or live in a mansion. I live very humbly and am very comfortable with that. Im not a materialistic person and rather help others than to spend $200 on a purse! I say this because I KNOW THERE ARE TONS OF CON ARTISTS; tons of people who use fundraisers/non-profit causes to benefit their own pockets. With me, you dont have to worry about that. Im blessed already and just need help in blessing others!

One thing about me that you must know is that I dont do things for the money. For the 2 years that I have been in the industry, I have offered my services pro bono! I have promoted, connected and helped without charging a dime. Most people say that my downfall is my big soft heart but I feel as tho that is my strong point because I KNOW God will reward me in different ways.

How can you help? It would really help if people/sponsors can donate at least $10 or more to help get this 501c3 license. I have all the necessary license but need a 5013c which costs $$$. Im willing to do all the paperwork myself (which so far has taken me about 4 hours and Im still not done) but I just need help in the filing fees and other fees associated with the 5013c. A-List For A Change Non-Profit Organization is already registered, licensed and all that great stuff but in order for us to operate better, we need the 5013c.

For businesses, entrepenuers, artists, producers, etc… in return, I can add you to A-List’s newsletter, which will be blasted to over 10,000 ppl (around 4-5k in Atlanta alone) and over 70,000+ fans on myspace alone worldwide. For those who just want to donate, we appreciate you and always know that God will reward you for your great deed.

Donations can be sent via

paypal to alistmegaproductions@gmail.com (Credit cards, debit cards & echecks) If you dont have a paypal account, please let me know & I will send you an invoice.
money orders or cash (send cash at your own risk & be sure to leave a note with your email address) C. Cruz

Thank you for taking this time to read this long blog. Im sorry that I probably rambled but its early in the morning! lol

LET’S MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS WORLD…STARTING WITH OUR YOUTH!!!

Respectfully yours,

Get your tickets, now, so you can witness, first-hand, the electrifying movements of Chicago's own, FootworKINGz! www.TheBrownBoys.ws

The FootworKINGz (FWK) is an all-star ensemble featuring Chicago’s top footworkers. These young men range from ages 16-24 and represent the essence of strength, raw talent, extreme energy and power!

FWK was founded in 2007 by Leida “Lady Sol” Villegas, as a professional dance ensemble
with a mission to attract global recognition to Chicago’s unique style of footwork. Footworkin’ is an extremely energized, lower body movement that evolved as a response to House and Juke (a highly sped up House sound up to 160bpm) music.

FWK members King Charles & Prince Jron recently toured on Madonna’s “Sticky & Sweet” World
Tour 2008-2009. Both are featured in Madonna’s new music video “Celebration.” FWK members have also appeared as a Top 20 act on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” Season 4, Ellen Degeneres’ Really Big Show ‘07 for TBS, VH-1 Hip Hop Honors ’07 with Missy Elliott, and MTV’s “My Block Chicago.” They have been featured in the Chicago Tribune, Cover of Red Eye Paper, NBC 5 Morning News, Rolling Stone Magazine and

In October 2009, FWK released “Take Flight,” the first, quality DVD about Chicago’s “footwork” style that documents the development of the FootworKINGz project. “We are very excited to release this extraordinary mini-doc and present these incredibly talented young men to the world,” states Ms. Villegas, Manager of the FootworKINGz.

FWK has been featured on local and global stages including New York’s Lincoln Center HH

McNair. JR. Picks Southern Miss.

To say that it has been a difficult year for Oak Grove (Hattiesburg, Miss.) receiver Steve McNair, Jr. would be an understatement.
After the murder of his father, former NFL All-Pro quarterback Steve McNair, McNair Jr. turned to football as an outlet.

The talented wideout has taken the recruiting process in stride, and he picked up more than a dozen scholarship offers from programs such as Minnesota, Mississippi, Mississippi State, Nebraska, West Virginia and others.

Today he announced his decision.

"I'm going to Southern Miss," McNair said. "It's close to home, and my family and my coaches can all come and see me play every week."

"He's had a great year," said Oak Grove coach Nevil Barr. "When we've needed a big play, he's been there to make it: offense, defense, special teams."

Although his father didn't play at Southern Miss, there has always been a connection between the McNair family, the community and the hometown school.

Annually, the McNair Foundation hosts a free football camp on the Southern Miss campus. The elder McNair was often seen in and around Hattiesburg during the offseason.

McNair Jr. is one of the top prospects in the state, and was named to the prestigious "Dandy Dozen" team earlier this year.

He has helped his Oak Grove team to a 6-2 record on the year. The Warriors close out their regular season Friday night at Jim Hill (Jackson, Miss.) and are likely playoff bound.

In spite of his personal tragedy, McNair Jr. has been a leader for the Warriors - both on and off the field.

"Everyone loves Steve," Barr said. "He's a special kid. He's always smiling, and that's not always been easy this year."

Ten Things Parents Can Do to Make Halloween Safer

Ten Things Parents Can Do to Make Halloween Safer

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children Tells Parents How They Can Build Safety into Halloween this Year

Halloween is one of the most exciting times of the year for children, but sometimes the most hectic for parents. Nearly 94 percent of children between the ages of four and twelve participate in Halloween activities each year. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) reminds parents to take a moment to consider basic safety precautions that will make Halloween a safer night of fun.

CHOOSE bright, flame-retardant costumes or add reflective tape to costumes and candy bags so children are easily seen in the dark. In addition, carry a glow stick or flashlight.

PLAN a trick-or-treating route in familiar neighborhoods with well-lit streets. Avoid unfamiliar neighborhoods, streets that are isolated, or homes that are poorly lit inside or outside.

NEVER send young children out alone. They should always be accompanied by a parent or another trusted adult. Older children should always travel in groups.

ALWAYS walk younger children to the door to receive treats and don’t let children enter a home unless you are with them.

BE SURE children do not approach any vehicle, occupied or not, unless you are with them.

DISCUSS basic pedestrian safety rules that children should use when walking to and from houses.

CONSIDER organizing a home or community party as an alternative to “trick-or-treating.”

MAKE sure children know their home phone number and address in case you get separated. Teach children how to call 911 in an emergency.

TEACH children to say “NO!” or “this is not my mother/father” in a loud voice if someone tries to get them to go somewhere, accept anything other than a treat, or leave with them. And teach them that they should make every effort to get away by kicking, screaming and resisting.

REMIND children to remain alert and report suspicious incidents to parents and/or law enforcement.
“Child safety is important year round, but Halloween is an especially important time for parents and children to pay extra attention to their surroundings and not let their guard down,” says Nancy McBride, National Safety Director of NCMEC. “It is important that parents exercise a few basic safety precautions to help ensure that Halloween is both fun and safe.”

Vocals so Swift "MISHON"

Mishon
The 16 year-old vocalist has already stirred up noise with “Just A Kiss,” which shows off the Los Angeles native’s soaring vocal dexterity and considerable teen charm. The track, co-produced by the Interns and Harvey Mason was the number one most added song at urban radio (6/2/09). That is just the tip of the iceberg, as Mishon is poised to capture even more fans with his exciting debut CD, due this Fall on producer/songwriter Vincent Herbert’s new Streamline Records, a joint venture with Interscope Records.
The multi-talented teen is already a TV star thanks to his role as spunky kid brother Tay on the ABC Family Channel drama “Lincoln Heights,” which began shooting its fourth season this spring. Though Mishon has developed his own fan base thanks to his acting chops, he says that singing has always been his first love.
Singing since he was a small child, his interest in music impressed his parents enough to enroll him in a local performing group of talented children that performed gigs throughout Southern California. But it wasn’t until he handpicked the song “Lean On Me” to perform—unexpectedly—at the funeral of his great grandfather at age 9 that folks around him really took notice of the emotion he was able to wring from the song. “They asked if anybody had anything to say, and I stepped up to the microphone and started singing,” Mishon explains. “And that’s really what broke me out of my shell because I used to be a very shy child.”
One person who took notice was his cousin, Demetreus “Doe Mac” Henderson, who had started Dynasty Records and wanted to help his young relative polish his talent. Mishon began working on tracks with his cousin at age ten, even completing a couple of independent CD releases. In the meantime, Mishon got interested in acting. After rounds of auditions at age 12, the preteen took some time off but went back to it at age 14. One of his first auditions was for the “Lincoln Heights” pilot, which was later picked up.

But music never stopped for Mishon, who continued to hone his performing craft and record more songs for his eventual solo album. When Dynasty got a distribution deal with Streamline Records, also the home to Lady Gaga, Mishon went to the label’s Santa Monica offices to sing live for all the executives. Vincent Herbert, the mastermind who’s created hits for the likes of Destiny’s Child, Lady Gaga, Jo Jo, Toni Braxton, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and many more, was so blown away by the young star that he introduced him to Jimmy Iovine, president and CEO of Interscope Geffen A&M Records; plans for his major label debut went underway immediately.

FREE LIL WAYNE

Lil Wayne's heading to the big house.

The "Hot Revolver" rapper struck a deal with Manhattan prosecutors and pleaded guilty today to attempted weapons possession in exchange for a one-year prison sentence, a spokeswoman for the Manhattan District Attorney's Office confirmed to Young N Newz!.

The 27-year-old Grammy winner, aka Dwayne Carter III, appeared before Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Charles Solomon and copped to a felony count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. Hizzoner allowed the New Orleans MC to remain free on his current $30,000 bond but ordered him to surrender his passport.

Lil Wayne's attorney, Stacey Richman, told Young N Newz! that the plea agreement had been in the works for some time.

"Wayne decided that this was what he wanted to do. I think he had made the decision some time ago and there were discussions [with members of his posse]," the legal eagle said.

Maybe he can ring up incarcerated pal T.I. and ask for some pointers?

Still, Weezy should consider himself lucky, given he could have gotten a much longer sentence if convicted on the original, more serious gun charges.

Lil Wayne got into this mess on July 22, 2007 when police searched his tour bus following a concert at the Beacon Theater in New York City and found a loaded .40-caliber pistol. He was initially booked on one count of criminal weapons possession and one count of criminal possession of a loaded weapon, charges carrying a minimum of three and a half years and a maximum of 15.

The Grammy winner's plea bargain came a day after a hearing on DNA evidence in the case in which his attorney, Stacey Richman, argued that investigators' profiling technique wasn't widely accepted in the scientific community and that the gun in question didn't belong to her client but someone else on the bus.

Lil Wayne's trial was set to kick off Jan. 20. Solomon has now scheduled the next hearing for Dec. 15, at which point the case will be adjourned until February for sentencing.

Richman added that Lil Wayne will begin his term at that time and will likely serve approximately eight months. As for whether it will affect his career, the lawyer didn't think so.

"He's an elegant and intelligent man. . .I don't perceive given who he is, his talents, that this should damage him," she said.

Don Juan "LOOKIE LOOKY"

Who is Don Juan?
He’s the new pimp of the rap game. Is it his swagger, the thickness of his voice, or even the contagious smile with the dimple on the side that makes him irresistible? Whatever it is his talent speaks for itself. A rapper that has every element of being an artist. I introduce you to Most Juanted (Don Juan.) Born Maurice Campbell Jr. 23, in the hip hop Mecca, Bronx NY and raised on the hard streets of the Washington D.C. Metropolitan area, Most Juanted has seen and experienced it all. If it was not for the experience in the school of hard knocks in the streets this lyrical genius would not have properly developed into the artist that he is today. Instead of rapping and making songs about the struggles and pains that he went through, he would rather uplift and be a positive figure from the hood that loves woman as well as life. “Im a Momma’s boy and want to glorify the woman through my music” says Don Juan. “When you hear my music I want to encourage hope and take all pain away,” he added. A veteran of 8 years in the rap game, he took his craft very serious from the start, staying in the studio day and night making this his job. With over 4,000 songs to date “literally” and learning to run the studio equipment himself, he has become a true artist. What is an artist? That’s the million dollar question? Well if an artist is a studio rat, a songwriter, a performer, someone who can make a song, a people person, a musician, a vocal arranger, a team player, a leader, a ladies magnet, a different sound, a certain swagger, and a listener.
